The Asthma Allergy Clinic was introduced at Kailash Hospital, Noida ten years ago in 1996. The Clinic is headed by Dr. Ratan Mandlaus, M.D.(Med.), MCAI(Ind), MAMAS(Ima), MCCP(USA), MIP(Aus). Dr. Mandlaus has over 30 years experience in treating patients with Asthma and various other Allergic disorders. Patients with the following disorders are being treated and managed at this clinic -

• Food Intolerance
• Drug Reactions
• Eczema and Dermatitis

The Clinic tests a patient against approx. 100 different allergens including pollens, fungi, insects, dusts on periodic intervals. In routine, every patient is given 2 sittings to complete the tests.

The patients are given very small pricks in the skin of the fore arm and upper arm (40 - 50 in one sitting). This procedure is very safe and painless. The results are available within half-an-hour and is conveyed to the patient there and then.

After completing the test schedule and compiling the results we make a prescription for therapeutic vaccine for the patient which is a tailor made product for individual patient. The procedure of this treatment is called Hypo-Sensitization. There is a fixed schedule to follow and is carried on for 2-1/2 ~ 3 years approximately to have the best results (details on request).

The Clinic also makes auto allergens depending upon the need of an individual patient. If the patient suspects some thing specific in his surroundings which causes problem in his case (Trigger) we can confirm it with this auto antigen and treat the patient accordingly.

KHRC has a modern and sophisticated Polysomnography Lab under Dr. Ashok Kumar Raina, Pulmonologist.

Dr. Raina has more than 25 years experience in the field. He has vast experience, nationally as well as internationally, in dealing with complicated Respiratory problems. Diagnostic Sleep Tests are carried overnight using Comnpumedics PSG imported from Australia. It is a 16 channel Polysomnography and includes EEG, EOG, ECG, Pulse Ocimetry, Airway Pressure, Body Position, etc.

Sleep studies are mainly carried out to detect patients having snoring and sleep disturbances, suspected of having O.S.A.

The Hospital offers a Sleep Study package which also covers overnight stay in the Hospital.
