Ayurveda - Healing, Nature’s Way
Ayurveda evolved as a system of medicine in India from time immemorial. The system stressed the prevention of diseases in addition to treating ailments. Continuously practised and developed over the centuries, it is today a unique, indispensable branch of medicine - a complete naturalistic system that depends on the diagnosis of the body's tumours to achieve the right balance.

Kailash Hospital & Research Centre has set up a department to provide Ayurvedic treatment to those patients who prefer to get the traditional line of treatment for their ailments. The department is headed by Dr. I.P. Tripathi an eminent Ayurvedic Practitioner, and supported by a team of experts in Ayurvedic treatment. The department has been focusing on Panchkarma treatment.

The word Panchkarma has been derived from two Sanskrit words “panch” means five and “Karma” means action. The name denotes five primary procedures of cleansing which Ayurveda uses to purify the body of everything abnormal. These are -

1. Vamana - Induced Emesis
2.Virechana - Induced Purgation
3. Basti - Medicated Enemas
4. Nasya - Nasal Insufflation
5. Rakta Mokshan - Blood letting

Panchkarma treatment is beneficial for patients of diabetics, obesity, paralysis, arthritis, joint pains, respiratory problems, allergy and mental diseases.

The Ayurvedic OPD at Kailash Hospital functions from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and 4.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. (Monday to Friday); and from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. on Sundays.
