Department of Dermatology (Skin) at KHRC provides
comprehensive care in the filed of Skin, Leprosy and Sexually Transmitted
Diseases. A team of Senior Consultants are providing their vast experience
in treating such diseases and are taking care of about seventy to eighty
patients every day.
Pulse therapy is given to patients of Pemphigus and Punch grafting is done
for stable leucoderma cases. Skin Biopsy is a routine procedure and cosmetic
care is done in the form of Glycolic and TCA Peels. Ellman surgitron radico
frequency is used for the removal of benign growths like moles, warts, tags
and corns. Leprosy patients are treated according to recommendations of
W.H.O. and the National Leprosy Eradication Programme.

OF ONCOLOGY (CANCER)
The Department of Oncology is actively involved in
fighting cancer and treatment cost. Besides, pre and post-operative
chemotherapy, the organ preservation chemotherapy is also done.
Immunotherapy: Hallmark of KHRCs cancer therapy is usage of high-end
molecules in immunotherapy e.g. trastuzumab in cancer breast; rituxmab in
non-Hodgkin lymphomas and bevacizumab in metastatic colo-rectal cancers.
It remains a wise mans decision which drugs to use and when because
some of these newer drugs are priced in dollar terms and hence very costly
and many patients will find them unaffordable.
