economic modality which is used extensively for evaluating the internal
organs of abdomen & pelvis.
Equipment used are Envisor from Philips, Netherland, Echocee from Toshiba,
Japan and Sonoline Adara from Siemens, Germany.
- Ultrasound is useful in evaluating foetal gestational growth and well
being during pregnancy
- It is a useful tool to evaluate small parts of the body such as
orbit, thyroid, neck, breast & scrotum.
A very useful noninvasive, sensitive modality to screen
for vascular diseases. This facilitates accurate assessment of blood flow
through carotid arteries, peripheral vessels & renal arteries.
It is very helpful in obstetric scans to evaluate growth retardation
Scrotal Doppler is useful to see common diseases such as varicoceles and
testicular torsion.
Mammography is a specialized X-ray used to diagnose
breast diseases in women. It is a useful, noninvasive, economical screening
modality for early detection of breast cancer and is recommended for all
females above 40 years of age. The procedure is performed by a qualified
female technologist.
OPG provides panoramic view of the jaw. This is
specially useful for patients with jaw trauma & dental diseases.
Equipment used is OPG Unit Vila System Medical from Italy.
CR is a state-of-the-art top line equipment from Kodak
which provides high quality digital images. With this technology the X-rays
are done faster and images obtained are of excellent quality which help in
detection of even subtle lesions.
